Gwynn and Charlie live in New York city in a block of apartments together they are flat mates but the animation starts with Gwynn moving in and meeting him for the first time, she moves in here because the apartment is close to her university and her parents live all the way in Texas so she needed to be in the same state as her university, I'm going to say that Gwynn has long black hair and green eyes, Charlie is going to have short brown hair with blue eyes and lots of freckles.

What makes a good magazine article?

A good article includes a catchy front page for when people look at it to go wow this is cool, with bold colours ,pictures and more, and also when the reader opens the magazine it has to be interesting and factual.Context can be influenced by a target audience the children need to understand words, so no advanced words, the narrative of the article should not have long words that are hard to read for ages 10-13

Welcome to the go to easy cooking magazine which gives you a step by step guide to making the most colourful easy foods,4 recipes to make while at home, easy and fun, different themes and different sorts of yummy food.

These cookies are simply cinnamon and totally awesome.

With Black and White icing the end result of these cookies really make them look like a classic football.

Ingredients:

1 Cup Sugar,

1/2 Cup Butter,

1 Large Egg,

1 Tsp Of vanilla,

1 1/2 Cups of flour,

1 1/2 teaspoons of cinnamon,

1 teaspoon of baking powder,

These Cupcakes are beyond colourful.

They really catch your eye and make your mouth water, when you have one bite you just wanna eat more!

Ingredients:

150g white caster sugar,

2 eggs,

100g of butter, melted,

150g self raising flour.

BUTTERCREAM:

200g of softened butter,

300g icing sugar,

4tsp of milk,

A few drops of Vanilla extract,

And any food colouring you choose.

To decorate, Get some selection of sweets to decorate the top( choose colourful sprinkles)

Number 4: Home made pizza, with a twist 

These are things you can make in such little time and they taste soooooooo good, the twist is that they are made.......on pitta breads?

Ingredients:

A pack of pita bread,

Tomato puree,

( any toppings of your choice, can include anything like salami, anchovies, tune etc etc)

And cheese

All u gotta do is put the toppings and tomato puree on the pita breads and stick them in the oven, then you have a yummy snack.

My Disaster Movie

Lo: To effectively develop an idea for a disaster movie.

When & where is the film set?

Barking London 1987 then moved to Canada.

What is the overall mood of the film?

Happy but stressfull.

How will this show through the clothes they wear?

Mum will wear very smart but bright things positive children as well.

Going to be shot in a lot of different places, long shots,Ariel shot( from above)

Medium Close up, long shots,extreme long/side shot and a slanted angle shot.

It's in color, some shots will be from helicopters and a on hand crew on the floor.

What is the message behind the film?

Well I'm going to base it around an event from the past, The Edmonton Tornado, and the disaster of it that hit Alberta Canada.

 IT'S CALLED EDMONTON DISASTER

Character are going to be the mum, Is Ms Wilson,  Lou Wilson, G (14 year old), Kendall Wilson,B (6 year old), Boss 1, Mr Garsely, Boss 2 Mr Peter's, Neighbor in London, Mary Bakers( older women, sweet and lives on her own) neighbors in Canada(The family live in a trailer park as a temporary basis)And not everyone is very friendly,( A few shop people), School friends including Annie Parker, Josie Willis and Luke Sullivan (Lou's friends, Ms Wilson working Buddies: Karen, Mellisa, Mel and Gary.

Genre: Adventure,Disaster.

Todovs theory:

Start they are in London and mum works in an office, gets offered a promotion but it's all the way in Edmonton Canada,She goes and talks to her children about it and they agree, they have a long road trip including Ariel shots of the car and a close up of them all in it they stop at a few places too.

They stay at a few hotels on the way there (takes 31 hours to get there on driving basis)

Then they arrive at the trailer park where they will be temporarily living, the neighbors aren't friendly at all and spit on them.The two children settle into their new schools and make friends , it starts to become very gloomy weather and cold.

Rumors going around that there may be a storm, mum has just settled into her new workplace with the new office job with all her co-workers who can be difficult but hard-working and Considerate.

Children get sent home early because the weather forecast has Taken a turn for the worst and they'll be a humongous storm coming and no one really knows what it is, mum's job is half an hour away from the trailer park so she has to leave asap considering the children schools are only a matter of minutes away. Mum get stuck right in the middle of a tornado and unfortunately she can't get out of her car fast enough.

The children are left in their trailer not knowing if the mum will be coming home, they go out to look for her so they walk a bit scared, they see a tornado Approaching and quickly hide under a tree log.

After it's all over they emerge from the spot they were in too see disaster everywhere they go back to the trailer park and it's destroyed, people lying on the ground Injured and in awful condition, there house is destroyed, all the houses are destroyed,they come and get picked up by their mum's old co-worker Mel who is lovely and will look after them,But the mother of the children her body was discovered in a car only 10 mins away from there old trailer house they attend her funeral a week later, the ending scene is of the children looking out of the back of Mel's car then seeing flash backs of the tornado and the sky is still grey, 

The last thing of the movie is a line which saids'1987 July 31st, Edmonton Canada'

Mise-En-Scene

Lo: To explore the use of mise - en- scenes in films.

It is a French term meaning what is being put into a screen or frame.

Visual information infront of the camera.

Mes communicates essential information to the audience,each aspect of mise-en-scene

Has hidden meanings within a film,and sends signals to the audience about how we are supposed to feel or about a character.

Made up of 5 bases:

Setting and props,

Costume, hair and makeup,

Facial expressions and body language,

Lighting and color,

Positioning of characters or objects within the frame.

1.setting and props

Setting and location are an important part in any film and are not just backgrounds.

Sets are either built from scratch or a great deal of time is spent to find a setting which already exists.

Settings can manipulate an audience by building certain expectations and then taking a different turn.

2.costume, hair and makeup

costume hair and makeup act as an instant indicator to us of a characters personality status and job.

It tells us immediately whether the film is set in the present or the past.

3.facial and body expressions,

Facial expressions provide a clear indicator of how someone is feeling.

If someone is smiling broadly we instantly assume they are happy but we may get a new impression if it's assisted with dark music.

Body expressions may show how that character feels toward the other characters like the state of their relationship.

4.lighting and colour,

To highlight important characters or objects.

To make the characters look a particular way/show their emotions and mental state.

5.Positioning of people/objects

Positioning within a frame can draw our attention to a important character/object.

A film maker can use positioning to indicate relationships between people.

Setting

Why might the director choose the following settings?

1 An isolated house in a rural setting for a horror film?

They might do that because they want to build the tension, it is of course expected in a horror movie to have some sort of dark eerie setting, but because it is a horror, the setting works very well and every time when it's the same setting which comes across as quite scary, it doesn't get old.

2 A big city for an action film?

Because it's an action movie there is going to be A lot of stuff going on and because of this, the only solution really is to make a large setting so there is enough locations that they can film at and have different things going on.

3 A small seaside town for a romantic comedy

Because it's small, it usually is a very lovely sight to see in a rom-com is when two people are in the seaside, maybe they use a small town so everyone knows one another and also their isn't too many things to look at so the couple can be the main focus.

4 A range of different countries for an action adventure film?

It's an adventure , they are going to be traveling places exploring things but also there will be some sort of mission to get thrown into it, that's where the action comes from, or they might need to travel to retrieve something, or set things right.

5  A large modern science laboratory for a science-fiction film

A reason they do this is because something usually goes wrong in a science experiment which cause distribution to the story line, so in the modern science laboratory they have to find a solution and also because it is fiction it's not real so a science experiment could just be effects.

Colour

Why might a director choose the following colours?

1. Blue and red for superhero colours?

Because they are two colours which go together and are quite bold, they are also the traditional colours for a superhero.

2. A black suit for a villain?

Because black is associated with something evil, depressing, scary and even sometimes death.

3. Bright colours for a comedy film?

Because it's supposed to be funny or course you would use bright colours in a film like this, you would not want to use dark colours because people might make the wrong impression and think their is a dark part to this comedic movie.

The way the first shots set the scene in this scene, is it keeps on switching between Pov shots.

The shots normally change between 5-10-15 seconds

The set at the start is of the family's house
It's set in that particular place because he's leaving their home.
The string changes between all their lives and where they are.
Could the same story be set in a different place?
I don't think so because, he's leaving home, he's leaving his family it just really works from the house.
The colours are very important in the film because it helps set all the scenes, in some scenes people are wearing very bright and expensive clothes.

Medium Close Up- When Tai has just joined the school and is walking with Cher and Dion and they are talking about food there is a medium close-up on Tai and Cher.The

Mid shot- When Cher is walking down the hall after Mr Halls class and is on the phone to Dion talking about their grades.

Long shot - when Cher close to the end before she figured out her feelings for Josh, is walking down the town last all the shops, it's a long shot.

I think the reason the camera shot for the joker is used because 1 it's a over shoulder shot and 2 pov shot, showing what he's looking at which happens to be himself and the people in the background.

Task 1

Genre: paranoid Fiction

Name-Personal Hell

Lou Carrey is a 16 year old girl who lives in Barking London,she lives in a block of flats that only has a balcony and her view is the block of flats opposite, she lives with her Mum Stacey Brown a 35 year old who works two jobs one as a b&m cashier in Barking shopping centre, and the other is at Barking Halls nursing Home, Brynn Davies is Mums boyfriend who lives with them he is 36 and works as a Lorry driver. And last of all William davies lives with them as the Three year old brother and is Brynns son. lou's dad Pete Carrey lives all the way in York he didn't feature in there life, he used to work in an office in London where Mum was a cleaner, they had a relationship , he grew uninterested and left their lives,He doesn't pay maintenance.Mums contacted the benefits agency to try and sort it out, the girl didn't know anything about this.This story is from two points of views, Lou and Stacey.

Equilibrium - Lou Carrey  Feels Trapped, she's stopped going to her school Dagham Park Church of England School because she feels like everyone hates her and judges her she feels paranoid everywhere she goes, her house is in the middle block of flats and they have a balcony she feels she can't even go on the balcony because she feels peoples eyes on her, There is a man who lives opposite who has a telescope in his room she feels he is spying on her watching her every move , and there is people who live in the flat above who bang alot.,She thinks that they Do it purposely to get into her head and make her suffer. Lou hates her Mum she thinks she's out to get her, that she tries to force her to do things she also hates her because she Thinks she ran her dad out of their lives(But really the dad left because he was uninterested in them) She thinks her Mum hates her back so she works two jobs to stay as far away as possible to her, But the Mum Is worried about her daughter she has seen her struggle in the past 3 years and grow even more angry and upset and she just isolates herself in her room, she works two jobs because they are struggling with money.And her Mum has found a man who is helping and willing to love Lou and their child William at any cost and he wants to help as much as he can .

Disribution: Lou is shut in her room curled up in her bed all she sees is darkness no door and no window the feeling closing in on her,feeding her misery when suddenly she gets a thought, a small memory of her father she was 12 and it was her birthday Dad had gone for some sort of "work meeting"up north and he surprised her with loads and loads of presents for her birthday he said he loved her and then he spent a little more time with her and left ,she loved that birthday that was the last good day she ever had Her father just disappeared after that.
Suddenly the same memory popped into the mum's head from downstairs while she is downstairs cooking with William but the thing is they see it totally diffrently, he only stayed for half an hour and it was like he brought guilt presents and on the way out of the door he said "good luck with money because I'm not helping".The mum's anger suddenly raged across her face she was lost again, Lou must have felt so awful the last time she saw Pete was at her birthday then he left forever.

Recognition of disribution- Stacey and Brynn are sat up the table the they are discussing life and the issues, Lou has a shiver up her spine that makes her twitch and have an urge to eavesdrop on their conversation like someone is telling her to go and listen ,she leaves her room after 2 days of sitting there in darkness hearing negative comments tormenting her mind and her actions all she could hear from the real world was the noise of her fish tank, she made her was slowly and cautiously to sit on the top step making sure not to wake up her little brother who was sleeping it was 3 in the morning the witching hour she overheard a worried Mum saying "we need help" and she suddenly rushes to conclusions thinking they were going to send her to a new family that they hated her and wanted her to leave and get out of their lives so everything could be more "normal" she rushes back to her room and slams her door almost breaking off the hinges she sits on her bed and looks out the window , there was a moment she saw something move like a lense , the telescope she thought but when she looked there was no One there, she started to tug  on her hair pacing around her room she starts to see the light fade the darkness returning the voices coming back the noise of the fish tank starting to fade little by little she can hear her mothers voice shouting at her "he's never coming back, I drove him away" "Your not worth it" Lue dug herself deeper and deeper into the blankets drowning the voices.
30 numbers earlier:
"It's just all so difficult" Stacey said to brynn " I'm really trying and I know you are too" Stacey starting to sweat and developing tears "it's okay it might be better soon , I think I might get A promotion , there are only 20 other guys", brynn replied "But Luv that's only  three more pounds an hour , We needs help" Stacey didn't start to daydream because daydreaming is a positive thing she started to dark dream.

Attempt to solve- Lou Couldn't handle it anymore she stood on the balcony for the first time in 2 years it was getting too much she tried to think of something positive, but nothing came to mind, she suddenly caught a glimpse of the lense of the telescope opposite, he was watching, she climbed up onto the top of the railing and looked into the distance she was so caught up in her own mind she felt light headed, the last thing she heard were noises of someone pounding on a door, and screaming she assumes it was just the noises in her head.(cut scenes, her in her mother's arms,A familiar face in the distance, flashing lights)

New equilibrium - the mother is sat  nervously holding Lou's hand while she sleeps in the hospital on the other side is sat Joseph Longleat a secondary school friend who was noticing her absent and has been worrying about her he is 17.
Lou starts to awake she sees the blinding lights and is clueless she first sees her mum, Stacey explains how her father left how he got uninterested and how she feels guilty , she also explains how they have decided to move house to somewhere new and peaceful  then she starts to point at someone across the room and explains how Joseph saved her , then Lou glances over to Joseph, he explains how he was worried about her and how he lived opposite to her and he checked up on her making sure she was just about coping because he noticed her absence at school , she recognizes him as her old friend and is greatful because if he hadn't have been watching he wouldn't have saved her,and called the police they rushed her to a hospital , they explain that she blacked out due to stress and paranoia building up. then the doctor comes in and said they took a  psychiatric assessmen and they think that she needs a bit of help mentally and is going to start a course of medication .

few months Later...... Mum has applied for a council house exchange in Penzance a 3 bedroom house, Joseph is visiting for a couple of weeks and the last scene Lou and Joseph is sat on the beach sharing a cone of chips and Stacey, William and Brynn in the background making sandcastles Lou looks over too Joseph and saids "Thankyou, I feel better".

Who is telling the story? - Well no one really tells the story but in some scenes there is one storey teller this is Nigel the non player character

What do the main characters look like?-
Ming Fleetwood is a small woman who has her hair up in a black bun and it looks like she's wearing some sort of Kung fu outfit

Ruby Roundhouse has Ginger hair that's always down she wears a thicker around her neck and she has a crop top on which is purple she also has shorts on and black boots.
Shelley Oberon is a larger short man with round specs and has a very feminine voice he always has a nap on hand and is wearing like an explored outfit with a explored round hat and in another scene he is wearing a wooly  jacket with a wooly hat also be has grown hair and a stubble beard.

Alex is a taller boy with black hair and a beard he wears a leather jacket like something someone would wear in the golden days to fly a plane he also wears boots.

Franklin Fun bar  is a smaller man who is mixed race, he wears a red bandanna around his neck and he also wears an detectives hat  also be wears things that an explored would like simple buttoned up Brown ish shirts and he also has a backpack to carry all of Dr smolder bravestones weapons in it he has the same colour shorts as the shirt and wears black boots.

Dr Smolder Bravestone is a very very muscular talk man with tattoos going up his muscular arms he has.  A Bold head that is very shiny actually and wears a shirt that is almost the same to Franklin finbars but it is much more plain and his first 3 shirt buttons are undone he also wears plain trousers and boots.

They all behave like teenagers mostly because they are teenagers trapped in adult peoples bodies they don't know how else to act it's like they just jumped 20 years in age they are also all very funny they all have that comedy aspect.

The way the react towards each other is with ruby round house and When Spencer is in Dr Smolder Bravestones body they are very loving and Finbar is very cocky towards everyone Shelly only cards about himself he's totally obsessed and Alex is like very polite treats them all equally.


Do any characters have any particular music or sounds?
When Ruby Roundhouse the song - Baby I love your way  and When Brave stone "Smolders" it's a very intense sound like all the focus is on him.

Which character interests me the most?
Definitely Shelly Oberon played by Jack Black it didn't matter who appears to be in his body, he's just so incredible so funny amazing at different personalities and without him it wouldn't be twice as good.

And also If ruby roundhouse was Taken out some of romance would definitely be taken away.

Actually this Movie (Jumanji the next level) didn't fit in with the propps character theory because there is no princess and no princesses Father and there isn't really any false Heros.

Narrative:

What happens in the Beginning?

The gang of Spencer, Bethany,Martha and fridge are all separated and go to different colleges and they all stay in touch via phone but Spencer feels like he didn't belong when he sees how happy his friends are and unhappy he is he tells like they are doing better without him so one night he's thinking and he realizes he wants to feel worthy again so he fixes the broken game of Jumanji and he unexpectedly goes missing and his friend come to find him at his house after falling him 14 times, but while this is all going on Spencer's Grandpa Eddie has an unexpected Visit from an old friend and working partner who went separate ways in life after selling an coffee shop they use to co -own, Eddie does not like Milo anymore because he feels that he wasn't ready to let go of their old coffee shop which is now transformed into a place called Noras, While Milo invited himself in for a cup of tea or coffee, Martha, Fridge and Bethany come barging through the door Asking for Spencer but Eddie hadn't seen him last night and thought he went out to see those guys, Suddenly they all year the noise of the jumanji  game from the previous two films and Martha, Bethany and fridge all rush down stairs into the Basement while Milo and Eddie sit down on the dinner table for a cup of coffee(To eddies disgust) The guys in the basement realize that Spencer had brought back the game and it looked like he was trying to fix it, they figure out that he had gone into the game Martha , Bethany both decided that they were going to go in and bring Spencer back out again, Fridge refuses but once Martha touched the game controller a light sucks 2 People from upstairs and two people from downstairs who are Martha and Fridge, Bethany is left clueless as to why she was left behind so she rushed out of the house to an old friend of theirs.

What happens in the Middle?

They all go back with different characters (still without Bethany) and Eddie and Milo (the two grandpas) have been sucked in the game with them Martha who is now Run roundhouse stays the same character but fridges character Mouse has been switched around with What would be Bethany character Shelley oberon and that leaves the two grandpas with the other two characters (the strongest one Dr Gravestone played now as Spencer's Grandpa Eddie and Milo now playing mouse) Martha and Fridge explain how the game works, they explain about the lives and the skills and then they get to a cut scene saying what they have to do they have to return a precious gemstone to a tribe leader again that was Taken by an evil man Jurgen ad he is holding it hostage it's the new gangs chance to save jumanji, they get to the first location on a reset where they bump into a few things and they eventually reach a town , they get told a clue which was "Follow the Flame"Which ends up being a woman in red so they follow her into a pub and see jurgen with his two Hiyanas suddenly it goes black and the key for the jewl has been taken but to what Eddie the grandpa thinks was a good think he stops the theif from ok

 leaving, the theif is a small character a girl with black hair and is very crafty(Ming) she gets slaughtered and they realize it's Spencer as Ming so they go to find her after she has a higher life and he explains what they need to do and why there grandpas is here and why Bethany isn't, during all this Bethany goes to see a man called Alex who knows all about jumanji because he was stuck in the game for 20 years and the guys helped him get out in the last film,They both agree they need to do something to help them.Then a few more incidents happen they loose lives and collect an old jumanji fruit from a hidden tree.

What happens in the end?

After more things happen they are accompanied by Bethany and Alex, Alex come back as the same character but Bethany comes back as a horse, they find a lake and soon realize it you jump in you can change your character's, So Martha stays as Ruby then Spencer changes to his original character Dr Bravestone Fridge as Mouse and Bethany As Shelley oberon which leaves Grandpa eddie as ming and Milo as the horse.One. Night ming As Eddie and Milo as the horse(cylops) gets stolen by Jurgen they have to go and save them from. His fortress on the mountain and they split up Alex goes to get milo and discovers he can fly and gets him out of the cage Martha and Spencer to go get Eddie which they do while Fridge and Bethany to go Jurgen pretending to be the Brother Quibabic ( Two of the most brave and strong men with a sister Jurgen wants to marry) they end up getting busted but before it's over because they are all on their last lives Martha Dance battles everyone because she is a man killer when their is music around, just as Jurgen goes to kill Spencer(Dr Bravestone) A mysterious liquid starts to leak from Spencer's pocket it's the Jumanji berry Jurgen freaks  out and leaves the room Spencer follows him and catches up to him and finds out his weakness is the berry he smashed it again him and jurgen is dying ,they are in the air because this all happend on a battleship suddenly when Spencer is left hanging on for his life watching jurgen  fall to his death officialy, Milo comes out unexpectedly with wings!! And saves him they all get back together again and Milo decides to stay because he reveals he was dying in the real world, they all go back and they are all friends and then when we think the movie is over someone (An electricity man) touches the game and while they are all say in Noras and Animals from the game comes pouring out onto the streets.

The most important events are Going in understanding the mission finding Spencer Getting the jumanji berry Bethany going them , and then them defeating jumanji and they leave.

If the events changed order in my opinion it would make as much sense it also wouldn't be as humorous if they got the berry before they found Spencer you could see that there was something missing because in it while one half of them are getting berry Spencer and some of the others steal a camel and Spencer is the one who makes it funny because he's so impatient that scene defiantly makes that characters comedy pop.

The story is about a. Videogame that you pick characters and once you have started playing it you can't stop you have three lives to try and complete the task that's set for you and once you find it you must call out it's name jumaji.

How long is the film-  2Hours 3 minutes

How does this story remind you of other stories?
Well of course this reminds me of the original just Jumanji the movie where a boy goes missing into a board game and then all the animals start coming from the jungle into the real world.

How would you like the story to continue?
Well I recon they will make another one because at the end of this movie animals start to come into the real world so really it's left on a cliffhanger so I think they will have to get all of the characters back into the game.

The movie mind of has a linear/Non linear Narrative, because the world is normal at the start it is  caused in this particular movie the disruption came from one  of  the main characters then at the end the realize something is wrong with their world when a bunch of ostriches come running down the road at the end of the film, Basically all of the main characters to to fix what Spencer started,and it didn't really end in a perfect world because of all the animals.

Equilibrium - In this movie nothing in the film world is normal they all seem lost and in the past they got thrown into a video game which was a experience.

Distribution -Spencer goes back into the game after feeling a bit depressed and what's to feel mighty again so yeah it was caused by the main character.

Recognition of Distribution -the other main characters realize Spencer has gone and then they have to fix the distribution and go in after him.e


Attempt to solve -They all go on a journey to fix the distribution and it takes a few attempts but they do get there in the end with a bit of help.


New equilibrium -
The life didn't go back to normal it ends up with another cliffhanger because loads of animals start running down the road.

Bait The movie

Cornish film-maker Mark Jenkin’s breakthrough feature is a thrillingly adventurous labour of love – a richly textured, rough-hewn gem in which form and content are perfectly combined.
